The information disseminated by the opposing side that on May 17, at about 16:15, Azerbaijani Army Units allegedly subjected to fire the Armenian armed forces positions stationed in the Zod direction of Basarkechar region is completely false, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a statement, AzVision.az reports.
“We categorically deny this information,” the ministry stressed.
“It should be noted that there is a heavy fog in this area since daylight hours. Subjecting to fire the opposing side in such conditions of limited visibility is impossible for Azerbaijani Army Units,” added the ministry.
